December 31st, 2006Christmas Pics Posted
December 27th, 2006Our Christmas pictures have now been posted to the gallery. We spent Christmas eve at our place and Christmas day at Jessica’s parent’s house. For Christmas eve, we went to see lights in the Deerfield subdivision in Plano. There’s one house in particular we were going to see that has lights synchronized to music, kinda like those famous videos from last year. But unfortunately that house didn’t have it’s lights on when we drove by. But it was still worth the trip – there were lots of other over-the-top displays. For Christmas day, we mainly chilled with the family at Jessica’s parent’s house in Ft. Worth. We ate lots of good food and played several rounds of a Wheel of Fortune video game that was really fun. Overall, we had a really great Christmas and hope you did as well. Have a great rest of 2006 and have a Happy New Year!

San Antonio Trip
December 21st, 2006
We got back from our trip to San Antonio last night. This was our Anniversary/Babymoon/Finals-Are-Over trip just to relax and enjoy the last chance we’ll get to travel without a baby. We did quite a bit while there – we slept late and took a nap everyday saw the Riverwalk, went to the zoo and botanical gardens, shopped a bit, and drove through a safari park that was a lot like Fossil Rim in Glen Rose. We really had a great time. Here are our pictures.
No, the picture above is not the wild plains of the safari park we drove through in San Antonio. It’s a shot from a webcam inside the boarding house in Dallas where Cosmo and Kramer stayed while we were gone. Jessica heard about this place called Pappy’s Pet Lodge from a friend. They have the webcam where you can check in on your dogs while they are in “doggy daycare” during the day. Being the obsessive parents we are, in addition to this being the first time to be away from the boys, we spent a lot of time staring at the webcam while in our hotel room. We were even able to change our flight home last night to an earlier time so we could go and pick them up before Pappy’s closed at 7. However, due to a combination of bad weather, American Airlines, and bad drivers on George Bush, we didn’t get to Pappy’s until 15 minutes after they closed. But luckily Jessica was able to beg and plead with the staff over the phone and they stayed late to let us pick up the boys. If you ever need to board your pet, this is the place you need to go.
Mmm… Corn Chowder
December 11th, 2006I love corn chowder. I was in the middle of a bowl for dinner last night when I had to leave the room for a minute, so I pushed the soup to the middle of the coffee table out of reach of the barnyard. So when I come back into the room, I see splashes of soup everywhere and one little critter looking very guilty. Here – see for yourself.
